KAIKHALI : BORDER OF SUNDARBAN

Kaikhali  Forest  Station is located at shyamnagar in shatkhira , Khulna. There   is a border river which called matla.

River Matla divides Sundarban Reserved Forest into Sundarban Tiger Reserve (on the east) and Reserved Forest of South 24 Parganas Forest Division.  Area of responsibility(AOR)given to this unit comprises with the bordering areas of SHYAMNAGAR and KALIGONJ Upazillas and part of DEBHATA Upazilla of SATKHIRA district. The bordering areas of SUNDARBAN Reserve Forest are also included in our area of responsibility. Area of responsibility of this bn starts from LANGLA bazar and continue down upto TALPATTI. BOPs along the border cover about 70 kilo meters from KHANJIA to KAIKHALI BOP. From KAIKHALI BOP down south another 110 kilo meters up to Bay of Bengal is also under observation of this bn.

This border  area around 80 km away  from  Khulna city.
